FREEVIEW is the name given to the group of digital channels which can now be received through a television aerial. In order to receive Freeview you will need a:

• Digital compatible television aerial
• Suitable cable from the aerial to the television/s
• A Freeview set-top-box or a TV with built-in Freeview

There are over 40 free digital television channels and more than 20 free digital radio channels available. Set-top-boxes can be purchased for as little as £30 from your local electrical store.

Will I need a new aerial for Freeview?

If you have Freeview coverage at your address, then you may be all set with your existing aerial. But great TV deserves great reception, so older aerials or those that have taken a beating through weather might need some attention.

In some cases your aerial will need to be upgraded to receive all the channels available to you.
